Of course it's okay! From the basics of weddings and parties in Japan to the latest trends, let our advisors help.

How do you plan a wedding or party in Japan?

Please tell us the conditions such as the desired theme, timing, area, number of guests, budget, etc. in the free online consultation. Our advisors will propose the most suitable venue, and after deciding on the venue, we will discuss the specific content of the party together with the venue planner.

How long does an online consultation take?

On average it takes about 1 hour. This can be adjusted according to your convenience.

Is it possible to keep the budget down and stick to weddings and parties as we like?

What services can I receive after the consultation?

We offer free consultation on advice on how to decide the venue up until the day (party, preparations, etc). As a separate option; we also offer online attendance, along with chat consultation for meetings with the venue side. In addition we can offer real-time attendance and support on the day. Is there a fee for venue introductions or consultations?

Our support—from venue searching to final booking—is entirely free of charge. No matter how many times you consult with us, there are no hidden costs. We handle the complex logistics so you can focus on finding the venue that truly resonates with you.

I live overseas, can I get consultations with you if I want to have a wedding in Japan?

Yes, that's possible with us! From the initial consultation, to the venue introduction as well as the meeting with the venue planner on the day of the event; all can be conducted online, so please feel free to contact us.

We have already visited several wedding venues ourselves, can we still take your consultation?

Of course it's okay! In addition to checking whether or not the venue meets the wishes of the two of you, we can propose recommended venues and special plans from our advisor. Please feel free to contact us and let us know about your conditions.

I am Japanese; is it possible to get consultation with you?

Of course, even Japanese people can consult with us! We can also propose unconventional styles such as foreign-style parties, so please feel free to contact us.

What is the difference between an agent and a venue coordinator?

While a venue coordinator represents the venue’s interests, we are 100% your advocate. We navigate Japan’s unique rules and restrictions on your behalf, providing unbiased advice and expert negotiation to ensure your vision always comes first.

What are the benefits of using iry?

Our advisors cover 7 languages, so we can tailor communication to you. We understand that the rules of wedding venues in Japan differ from your home countries and there are many people who are worried about what they can and cannot do in Japan. We can negotiate with our partner wedding venues in various areas in Japan to support flexible customization adapted to particular cultural practices (religious or secular) to the venue, so you can have a special day that is "unique" to you.

What kind of advisors do you have at iry?

The team is staffed by native speakers who speak 7 languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Japanese. We are familiar not only with the language but also with wedding and party styles in Japan, so we can provide various consultations and proposals from various angles.

Do you provide services for foreign guests (interpretation, guidance, etc.)?

Normally, wedding venues in Japan may not be able to respond in languages other than Japanese, but please be assured that iry has a separate plan that provides support on the day of the party as an option.

How do you support the wedding and party day?

You can bring your own MC, introducing a MC from the venue side, or from our company.

Is it possible to consult about a birthday or wedding anniversary celebration party instead of a wedding?

Yes, that's possible of course! Please feel free to contact us about anything related to a celebration event with just two people or a large number of people. This can include (but not limited to) parties for groups and companies.

Is it possible to consult with us about weddings and parties in distant places (such as Okinawa and Hokkaido)?

Weddings and parties in places where you can't go to the preview in person can be unsettling. We give advice on the party venue and how to proceed with preparations. Please ask about the areas that can be introduced at the time of consultation.

Is it possible to consult with LGBTQ+ (same-sex weddings, etc.) venues?

Of course, we can consult with the venue! At iry, our experienced advisors will support you to make your wedding and party your own and happy.

About Venue Viewing

When should I visit the venue?

If you find a venue that suits your needs, we will ask you for the date and time suitable and make a reservation on behalf of the venue.

Please tell us about the process from the venue tour to the decision making.

When you visit the venue, you can rest assured that our advisors will be with you online for free if you have any language concerns. We will follow up with you about your impressions after visiting the venue and the status of your tentative reservation, and we will give you advice as to deal with any necessary concerns and further enquiries. This can be followed up until the venue is decided.

I live overseas. Can I plan my wedding without visiting Japan beforehand?

Absolutely. From the initial consultation and venue selection to virtual tours and staff meetings, everything can be completed remotely. Even if you cannot visit Japan until the day of the event, our system ensures a seamless and stress-free planning experience.

What can I do during the venue tour?

What you can experience at the time of the tour varies from venue to venue, but in general, you can have an individual consultation, tour of the venue, food tasting (often free of charge), dress tour (you can try it on depending on the day), and present an estimate.

If I don't get along with the planner at the venue, can you consult with me?

Please feel free to contact us. Ultimately, the communication should be between you and the venue side, but we will do what we can to help you.

About Japanese-style Wedding

What are the major differences between wedding venues in my home country and Japan?

In your home country, the venue where the party is mainly held and the planner staff are often separate. In Japan, the wedding venue has a planner who produces the entire ceremony and party. For this reason, iry provides support services as a consultant, introduction, and coordinator to serve as a bridge between non-Japanese guests and venues.

Can you accommodate religious dietary needs or specific venue requests?

Yes. In addition to dietary requirements such as vegetarian or Halal, we navigate Japan’s strict venue rules on your behalf. We accurately communicate your cultural background to the venue to negotiate flexible solutions that honor your traditions.

What should I do with costume and beauty services?

Please feel free to let us know, at wedding venues in Japan as we offer recommended costumes and beauty services for each venue. You can also bring your own depending on the venue.

What cooking formats can I choose at wedding venues in Japan?

There are French and Italian full-courses, Japanese traditional kaiseki cuisine, buffet style, etc., which can be selected and customized according to the guest and theme. For dishes that cannot be handled by the venue, it is possible to bring in some of the dishes.

Is it possible to accommodate dietary restrictions (religious or secular)?

Of course, we can arrange those requirements. We will introduce you to a wonderful venue that can be flexibly accommodated.

Is it possible to have a wedding or party in a place where we can feel the nature and four seasons unique to Japan?

Yes, that's right! For example; we are able to introduce venues with a panoramic view of Tokyo Tower, Mt. Fuji, with wonderful Japanese gardens, along with venues where you can enjoy the four seasons such as cherry blossoms, blue seas, autumn leaves, and snowy scenery. What is the meaning of Japan’s Shinzen ceremony? Is it possible for foreigners?

It is a solemn wedding style that reports the marriage to the gods of Japan and values family connections. If there is no problem with the faith and religion of the couple and their family, it is possible for foreigners to have a Shinto ceremony (if so requested).

Is it possible to wear a kimono to a wedding or party?

Most wedding venues offer kimonos, so don't worry about finding your favorite one!
